I wonder how successful the ice skaters were on the bumpy ice! The Rhine isn’t frozen down here in Wiesbaden unfortunately. Still, pretty cold, though! Tom

Actually the ice is not as bumpy as it looks, the surface is really smooth, there are only some ice blocks and small stones on it, but apparently it doesn’t prevent skaters to run on it.
By the way the frozen parts are some shallow areas previously flooded by the river, the main stream is not frozen.
